About Us

be. is located in the heart of downtown Petrolia, and is owned and operated by people who are driven to grow a community rooted in self care, health, movement, rest, and relaxation. We provide a range of mindful, meditative, restorative, and movement-based services that focus on health and healing. Our physical space is co-located with Respect Your Mother-a low waste sustainability store, and a full range organic day spa. This is a place for people to connect, grow, and be.

A space where you can show up for yourself, exactly as you feel every single time. A place to honour your body, your experiences, and hopefully find something that makes you happy. To give you a space to discover what feels right for you, a place to uncover the things that bring calm , ease, grace, and mobility into YOUR life. We are here to walk with you, as you discover what exactly it is that you want.

Teacher/Reiki Master

Erica Forbes

Hi, my name is Erica.

I am a Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master. I base my yoga teachings on breath work & finding the right movement to express and move energy within the body.

Each day, each person, each yoga class is different. Some days we heat up and focus on moving stagnant energy in the body and other days we may move slowly, flowing and unwinding our bodies as we are being called to.

Just like in life, I don’t believe in forcing anything and the same goes for yoga. I believe in listening to our bodies and flowing as needed, grounding down or be in stillness.

Creating space within and healing from the inside out is the intention of every class, how we get there is by listening to our energies.

I LOVE movement & stillness! I have always loved a variety when it comes to exercise! You name it, I’ve probably tried it and if I haven’t I’m always down to join you in something new! That’s how I fell in love with Crossfit, Restorative Yoga and Piyo! I’m so excited to bring you a blend of everything!

I’m a farm girl who loves to keep busy, but knows the importance of slowing down! My restorative practice offers a chance to step outside the norm and take time to be still, while my upcoming classes will certainly get you moving!
